At Vital Start, we believe that the foundation of quality education and care lies in a dedicated, collaborative team of educators who nurture, inspire, and support children through the most vital years of their early development.
We are committed to upholding the highest standards of professional practice through compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations, and the National Quality Standard (NQS), guided by The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the principles of Being, Belonging, and Becoming.
Menu and Nutrition
At Vital Start all meals are freshly prepared daily. The daily menu is rotated every six weeks where children are exposed to a range of nutritious hot meals and snacks. The menu is tailored to suit the needs of individual children, as well as meet the requirements of any additional food allergies.
Breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks are provided daily throughout the routine, ensuring that children have ample opportunities to stop and enjoy a healthy meal or snack. Mealtimes can be tricky with children; however, we aim to use mealtimes as part of our teaching. We believe mealtimes are a significant part of learning and growth. Not only do they provide opportunities for socialising, however they also are used as a learning tool for children where children are learning about health and nutrition, manners and etiquette, learning to try new foods and serving themselves and others.
